Level 1 (Novice) Leader Development Program

Target audience:

 First-line supervisors and junior managers

Course description:

This is a 2-day classroom program which targets participants who typically have little, to some knowledge regarding their self-awareness and ability to lead subordinates. Attendees will be exposed to contemporary leadership models and a number of team building activities. Participants will develop a personal vision and values statement for their workplace, and create a leader development plan which they will use for their development.


Level 2 (Intermediate) Leader Development Program

Target audience:

Mid-level managers and senior-level leaders

Course description:

Participants attending this 3-day classroom program generally have a moderate to high degree of self-awareness, and have led subordinates for a number of years. Attendees will enhance their self-awareness and ability to self-regulate their thinking, feelings, and behavior. Course materials consist of the Myers-Brigg Type Indicator (MBTI), and temperament, ethics and values, the Leadership Challenge Model including the 360-Degree leadership practices inventory, or the Full Range Leadership Model including the Multi-Factor Leadership Questionnaire Form5X (MLQ5X), 360-degree online instrument. Participants will also create a leader development plan for the future. 


Level 3 (Expert) Leader Development Program

Target audience:

High-level managers and senior-level leaders

Course description:

This is a 2-day classroom program followed by telephone coaching. Participants will focus on leader identity, leader efficacy, leader motivation, information processing skills, self-monitoring and self regulation.  Participants will create a leadership development plan in class. Follow-up telephone coaching will focus on assisting the coachee in achieving their plan.


Continuous Quality Improvement, Teams, Tools and Techniques (3T's), 2 1/2 day program

Course description:

This program focuses on building a quality initiative culture. Curriculum components address building teams, quality improvement tools/techniques, and problem solving. This program fits extremely well with the TGA leader development programs and technical assistance efforts as both arenas work to foster organizational productivity.
